Dependent Care Reimbursement Account
Westaff wants to provide you with the resources to use your money more
effectively. Westaff employees with eligible dependents can participate in the
Future Funds Dependent Care Reimbursement Account. This program supplies a tax
effective way for you to pay certain dependent care costs for your qualified
dependents (usually children under 13 or an individual who is not capable of
caring for himself or herself.
Here's how the program works
- You may choose to have Westaff set aside a portion of your pay (up to a
maximum of $5000) each calendar year to cover eligible dependent care
expenses.
- These pre-tax dollars (exempt from federal income, FICA and most state
income taxes) will be credited to your dependent care reimbursement account and
may be used toward paying the cost of eligible expenses for qualified
dependents.
- Eligible expenses are submitted to Westaff for reimbursement from your
Future Funds Dependent Care Reimbursement Account.
Basic eligibility To be eligible for the dependent care plan, you
must enroll prior to working 120 hours in the past 90 days or January 1. (For
Medical employees working on a visit basis, each visit will be considered two
hours for the purpose of this benefit.)
Contact your assignment supervisor for a full description of this plan.
