Employee Guide - Job Success

Suggestions on how to make your job a success

Here are some suggestions which may help you make your job a success:

  • Be on time. If you're late, are sick or have an emergency, call the Westaff office immediately. Westaff will then notify the customer.
  • Stick to assigned lunch hours/break schedules.
  • Be adaptable. Customers appreciate flexible, cooperative employees who use their equipment and follow the company's work methods cheerfully.
  • Listen to instructions. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
  • If you learn new skills, tell Westaff. It can mean new assignments and a bigger paycheck.
  • Keep a list of your assignments; it makes an excellent record of your work experience.
  • Dress appropriately for the job and be well-groomed. Your Westaff supervisor will give you tips on what to wear.
  • You are responsible for your own transportation to worksites. The more mobile you are, the greater your potential for job assignments.
  • Never discuss a customer's business with anyone outside the department in which you work. Don't discuss salaries and your own pay rate.
