Job Requirments:
- Two to four years engineering work experience in a lean manufacturing operation.
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects and complete within deadlines.
- Excellent computer skills (especially in MS Office suite programs and AutoCad)
- Good hands-on, mechanical skills preferred.
- Experience working under ISO/9000 quality system. |
| Responsibilities |
Job Outline:
Must be able to work very well with both factory employees and staff, have good communications skulls and be a self-starting individual. Strong technical abilities in a variety of manufacturing disciplines required. Knowledgeable in Lean Mfg. Techniques including value stream training preferred. Experience in metal forming and CNC machining is a plus. Good organizational skills with strong working knowledge of computers required. This is an active position and is not a full time desk job. Thorough attention to detail and excellent follow up skills are required.
Job duties include:
- Design manufacturing cells to move toward one piece flow.
- Plan and implement capital improvement projects.
- Drvie efficiency/scrap improvements throughout the plant.
- Troubleshoot process problems on CNC machines.
- Write documentation for manufacturing operations (Work Instructions, SOP's).
- Help launch new products and programs. |

Education Requirements:
BS in Mechanical or Idustrial Enginnering or closely related technical discipline is preferred. Three+ years demonstrated experience and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices. CNC programming knowlede is a plus. |
